Lions drop region opener
Only three Intermountain Christian players — Michael Fox, Mikey Boettger and Zach Page — scored in the Lions 67-52 loss to Layton Christian. While it is impressive that three players can put up 52 points, the Lions will need to find a little more help to be able to compete in region play.
Huskies searching for first region win
The Huskies got a rude welcome to Region 7, facing the region’s top two teams in consecutive games. Hillcrest wasn’t able to keep pace with either Olympus or Skyline. This week will tell a lot about the Huskies, if they can break through against Murray and Herriman they will be in line for a spot at the state tournament. If not, Hillcrest will quickly find itself at the bottom of Region 7.
