Strong finish puts Leopards in playoffs

East • The Leopards finished their season by winning two of their last three, placing them in a three-way tie with Highland and Cyprus for third place in Region 6. They played Timpanogos on Nov. 1 for the right to play in the 4A tournament. In a 3-1 win over Highland on Oct. 27, Ata Utuone had 15 kills and three aces, Gui Pela'ez had 16 kills and Brook Lords added four kills.

Rams come up short of postseason spot

Highland • The Rams managed only four wins on the season, but all four came in Region 6, which helped them to a third-place tie with Cyprus and rival East. Highland and East split their matchups this season, each beating the other 3-1 once. If the Rams could have beaten East on Oct. 27—they lost 3-1—they could have wrapped up third place for themselves, but instead Highland will be sitting at home this postseason.
