Olympus • After finishing the regular season as the third-place team in Region 7, the Titans fell to Sky View in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament. Olympus increased its win total from last season and played 10 straight games without a loss, but was unable to break through against elite teams. In an injury-plagued year, Savannah Spere scored 19 goals for the Titans.

Cottonwood • Cottonwood accomplished a goal by qualifying for the playoffs, but the trip was short as the Colts lost their opening round game to Davis, 9-1. Cottonwood struggled for much of the season, posting only 3 wins, and faces a rough reality of being in the same region at Alta and Brighton. Playing good competition can make teams better, and hopefully for the Colts that will be the case next season.

Skyline • A great season for Skyline continued with a second-round state tournament win over Bountiful. The Eagles breezed by Box Elder in the first round, but needed every shot in a 5-4 shootout victory against Bountiful. With 15 wins, Skyline already matched last season's win total.

Murray • After winning two straight games in early September, the Spartans were unable to notch another victory and finished the season with a 2-10-3 mark. Competing in a new region took a toll on Murray but history is on the team's side, this season was the first losing record for Murray since 2004. With a year of playing in Region 7 under their belts, look for the Spartans to be back in 2012.

Taylorsville • After posting 10 wins for the first time in school history, the Warriors saw their season end with a 5-0 loss to Riverton in the first round of the state tournament. While the loss is disappointing for Taylorsville, the team now knows what it takes to win and will look to 2012 to keep the momentum going.

Brighton • The Bengals were unable to advance past the first round of the state tournament as they lost a shootout to Northridge 4-2. Last year's state champions posted an impressive 13-3-1 record but were unable to find the back of the net when it mattered most against Northridge. Mati Long finishes the season as the leading scorer for Brighton with ten goals.

Hillcrest • By defeating Mountain Crest 4-1 in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament, Hillcrest advanced to the second round for the first time since 2004. The second round game wasn't as kind to the Huskies as they dropped a 1-0 decision to East. Despite the loss, good things are happening at Hillcrest and this team will be a player in the region race again next season.
