West

The Panthers burst to a 1-0 start in Region 2 with an 8-0 win over Hunter. Graysee Murphy netted a hat trick, with Taylor French adding two goals and Rose Nelson and Rachel Ainsworth splitting the clean sheet. What may have been more telling was West's 0-0 draw with East on Aug. 25. West's fortunes may have turned the corner.

East

The Leopards rose to the top of Region 6 with a 1-0 win over Clearfield, followed by a 9-0 crushing of Cyprus. Seven players scored against Cyprus, with Madison Roemer and Lou Williams scoring twice. The Leopards visit two main competitors, Bountiful and Woods Cross, Thursday and Sept. 13, respectively.

Highland

With the start of Region 6 play came a couple of painful results. Woods Cross blasted the Rams 7-1 on Aug. 30, and Bountiful followed that with an 8-0 win on Sept. 1. Ana Moran scored for the Rams against Woods Cross. Region 6 is shaping up to be a tough region.

Judge Memorial

The Bulldogs took a beating from Juan Diego 5-1 on Sept. 1. Danielle Gaztambide scored for Judge in the loss. It was certainly an eye-opener of a result for a team that had surged to a 5-1 start. The Bulldogs will have to regroup in time to visit Park City on Thursday.

Park City

With a 4-0 win over Uintah on Sept. 1, Park City got off to a solid start in Region 10. Rachel Patez scored twice and Maggie Reigelsperger and Taylor Hodgson each scored once. Skye Mooney notched the clean sheet. Park City will have its hands full in the coming weeks with Judge Memorial, Wasatch and Juan Diego all on the schedule.

Rowland Hall

The Winged Lions began Region 14 play with a 6-0 win over Maeser Prep that took the team to 2-1 on the season. Ana Jobe and Katie White each scored twice in the win, with Reed Esparza getting the clean sheet. Rowland Hall may be the early favorite for the region championship with Waterford off to a slow start. St. Joseph will definitely have its say in the matter.
