Rep. Brian King, D-Salt Lake City, said it would give the Yalecrest neighborhood, where he lives, time to negotiate solutions over a proposal to create a historic district there. That debate has divided the upscale east-bench hamlet.
King said it would allow residents there "to move forward productively in a way that will allow for constructive discussion."
