Minneapolis — Notes following Jazz shootaround Wednesday morning.
Jazz guard Raja Bell (strained left adductor) will be inactive against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
He was initially listed as a game-time decision. Bell's status was updated after media availability following shootaround.
With Bell out, Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said he'll again start Josh Howard at small forward and move Gordon Hayward to shooting guard.
Devin Harris, Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson are expected to round out Utah's first five.
Corbin on saying anything special to Jazz about importance of game or does team already understand: They know what they need to do and we talked about, look: We want to make sure that we come out and make sure that we give ourselves a chance to win this game. This team's playing very well. We can't underestimate them at all. It's a road game, which we've got to get better … with the way we play on the road, and then finishing games off on the road. And we want to go into the All-Star break feeling better about ourselves. We played well for spans and we just haven't been able to finish games. We've got to figure out what's going on on the road to be able to win road games, and this will be a great test for us tonight. And we're going to have a few days off to get our bodies back. But you want your mind feeling about what's going on, too, so it's not a worry thing [while] you're off.
